I'm just going to say it
I want fall to hang around forever.
I want fall to hang around forever.
For no other reason than Fall means Pumpkin Spice flavored everything.
It all started with the Keurig PS coffee, and it's been pretty much down hill ever since.
If you're in the market for a good pumpkin spice candle, go to Walmart.
Mainstays PS candles are THE BEST.
And cheap.
We may or may not have one on every surface of our apartment.
Delish.
I finally tried THE Pumpkin Spiced frappuccino at Starbucks and I just have to say....
Keurig does it better.
And then
Wait for it....
I baked
And I didn't ruin anything.
Except for the flour that somehow managed to explode all over the kitchen...
My mom makes these Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies that will literally change your life.
I've had dreams about these cookies.
And they're so easy, even I can't mess them up.
So here's the delicious recipe for your eating pleasure
Mom's Out of Control Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 can pumpkin (15 oz.)
- 2 eggs
- ¾ c oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ tsp milk
- 1 package chocolate chips
Here's what you do:
- Mix the sugar, pumpkin, eggs, oil, vanilla, and milk together. (I used a mixer I'm sure you could do it by hand)
- Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt together in a separate bowl.
- Add the bowl of dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix everything together until blended.
- Add in the chocolate chips.
- Use a small spoon to scoop out the dough onto an oiled cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes (The bottom should be a light golden brown)
- You can add any kind of icing, but they're so good even by themselves.
You need to go make these right now.
Go.
Go now.
Duke and I will be standing by
Practicing our Christmas card picture taking.
I think that last one is a winner.
We'll just photoshop Matt's floating head somewhere in the corner.
Don't even get me started on Christmas in November.
We'll chat about this tomorrow.
